Site prep is a schedule job. Everybody behind us — concrete, plumbing, framing — is waiting on the dirt to be right. We show up when we say, work to the elevations on the plan, and get off the site so the next trade can get on it.

That includes the boring parts that protect the job: silt fence, diversion berms, temporary drainage, and keeping the disturbed ground from ending up in the neighbor's tank after the first storm.

What is included

  • Rough and finish grading to plan elevation
  • Cut and fill, dirt balancing and spoil hauling
  • Building envelope stripping and topsoil stockpiling
  • Utility trench excavation and backfill
  • Silt fence, berms and temporary erosion control
  • Final dress-out and topsoil respread

What drives the price

  • Size of the disturbed area and how much dirt moves
  • Whether the site balances or dirt has to be imported or exported
  • Rock and how much of the cut has to be ripped
  • Access and haul routes
  • Erosion control the county or the plan requires

Site Prep & Grading — questions we get

Do you work directly for builders and GCs?

Yes — a good share of our work is subbed dirt packages for builders around Palo Pinto, Parker and Jack counties. We will hold a schedule and give you a firm start date.

Can you work off a set of plans?

Yes. Send the site plan and grading sheet and we will price the dirt package off it.
